Big Questions

The questions
everyone asks

Why is there anything at all? Who made God? Why is there suffering? What if we're wrong? Each answered fairly, with the strongest case on every side, and a label telling you what kind of question it is.

Seven questions

Settled the evidence is clear · Open serious people disagree · Philosophy science can't settle it

PhilosophyWhy is there something?Rather than nothing at all.

OpenDoes science rule out God?Both sides, fairly, in scientists' own words.

ReflectionWhat if we're wrong?A question each of us can ask ourselves.

Each faith in its own wordsIs it the same God?Three faiths, three kinds of answer, each in its own words.

PhilosophyWho made God?The question every child asks, and philosophers still argue over.

PhilosophyWhy is there suffering? If God is good and all-powerful, why do people suffer?

OpenDoes belief come naturally? Why nearly every human culture has believed in something greater.
