The lights that set
Abraham's question, through his eyes.
Signs · The lights that set
The Qur'an tells how Abraham (peace be upon him) looked at a star and said “This is my lord”; but it set. Then the moon, then the sun: each set. “I do not love things that set,” he said, and turned to the One who made the heavens and the earth (6:75-79).
The science. Everything in the sky rises and sets because the Earth turns. What looks like power in the sky is a lamp on a timetable.
Three faiths. Jewish tradition, too, remembers Abraham reasoning his way to the One God (Maimonides, Mishneh Torah, Avodah Zarah 1:3). We never show Abraham: the camera is his point of view.
Pause and ponder
Look again. What else have you looked past?
